  1. Personal data protection

 

Privacy Policy regulates the way in which the Reading Digital collects, uses, maintains and publishes the information received from the user (hereinafter “User”) through the application or the website reading.digital (hereinafter “Application”).

Personal data may be processed and transmitted only as part of a specific activity and solely for the purposes for which it was previously obtained. Personal data may be transferred to third parties only in accordance with the legal framework and / or with the express consent of the user. They are deleted or made anonymous immediately after fulfilling the purpose for which they were obtained.

The Privacy Policy applies to the Reading Digital and all the products and services it offers, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

 

2.1 Personal data

 

Personal data refers to any information relating to the identification or possible identification of a natural person. Possible recognition of a natural person means that it can be identified, directly or indirectly, especially by stating his e-mail address, telephone number and the like.

If you are a user of the application or a visitor to the site, certain data is collected automatically. This refers to the IP address, location where the user accessed it, browser type, operating system or other information about the use of the application, including the history of the page visited by the user.

Data that cannot be linked to a particular person is not considered personal. This refers to the statistical data that we collect for the total attendance of the application or the page, and they do not refer directly to the user as a natural person.

 

2.2 Consumers are considered

 

Members, i.e. legal or natural persons who have registered due to time unlimited use of the application (until the termination of membership), and in order to purchase e-books in a manner prescribed by the terms of use.

 

2.3 Information collected by Reading Digital

 

Reading Digital collects user data, including personal information, in various parts of the application, its website and through the software, as follows:

– Email address

– IP address for each individual access to the services

– Time to create the order

– Data change time

– Time of the last accession

– Information about the purchased ones

Reading Digital collects users’ personal information only if they voluntarily submit it. Users can always refuse to provide identification information, in which case they may be denied some data or activity on the application.

Reading Digital does not consciously collect information about people under the age of eighteen.

 

2.3.1. Purchase details

 

To buy an e-book from the application of the Reading Digital, the users have at their disposal two payment methods:

 

Payment by payment card

 

If he chooses this method of payment, the user does not leave data for the payment card, and the Reading Digital immediately delivers the purchased book to him in the section “My books”, ie in his library. This system is automated. All payments are made in the official currency of the Republic of Northern Macedonia – MKD (MKD). For informative display of prices in other currencies, a middle exchange rate of the National Bank of the Republic of Northern Macedonia is used. The amount with which your payment card will be charged will be expressed in local currency, by converting it into the exchange rate used by the local payment card agency. This amount is not known to us at the time of the transaction, due to which minimal differences are possible in relation to the original price. Thank you for your understanding.

The price includes VAT and there are no other hidden costs.

The security of the data during the purchase is guaranteed by the processor of the payment cards, UNI Bank – Skopje. The full payment process takes place through the bank’s pages, and the data from the payment cards are never available to our system.

 

Payment by voucher

 

The user enters the code in the voucher box. If the voucher is correct, the e-book is automatically transferred to its library (in the “My Books” section). In case of malfunction of the voucher, the user will be notified immediately, and in case of an unwanted problem, he can immediately contact our customer support service at [email protected].

 

2.3.2 Reading Digital uses the personal data of the users to perform the following activities:

 

Delivers books and other purchased products

Verifies access to protected content and order information

Determines whether the minimum system requirements for using the application have been met

Offers upgrade

Collects aggregate statistics on the use of Reading Digital app, including Internet Communication and Reading Habits

Improving services – collected information allows us to respond more effectively to customer requests when purchasing editions

Personalizing user experiences – the information gathered allows us to understand how our users use the services and resources available on our application.

Advancing the application – we use the feedback you provide to improve our products and services

Organizing promotions, research and other application functions – We send information to those users who have agreed to receive it (Newsletter).

Sending periodic messages – Reading Digital sends a welcome message to new customers, sends a message confirming the purchase and a message confirming changes in the order.

Reading Digital sends an e-mail when informing the user about new releases, when communicating about the purchase or informing the user about any action or discount. E-mail communication is also used to send information and communicate with users in order for them to become better acquainted with how the application works, as well as to respond to their requests, questions or requests.

If the user wants to unsubscribe from receiving new e-mails, it is necessary for the e-mail address from which it was registered at Reading Digital to send a message to the address: [email protected].

 

2.4 Security procedure

 

Reading Digital uses state-of-the-art security methods to protect data. Your information is stored in a database, provided with multiple protections, and is only available to authorized personnel. The data will never be made available to third parties without the user’s consent.

 

2.4.1. Protection of Reading Digital and the users of the application

 

Reading Digital will provide personal information to users only in case of obtaining a legally binding written order from the competent authorities of the Republic of Northern Macedonia. This approach is aimed at respecting national legal norms.

 

2.5 User profile / order

 

The user profile is a user’s command that allows access to the application using a password. On your user account you can see all the data about the purchased and downloaded books, the total amount spent, the information about the devices on which your order was reported, as well as the last access to the application from each individual device.

You agree that your personal information may be confidential and may not be disclosed to third parties. Reading Digital does not take any responsibility for the misuse of the password, unless Reading Digital is not responsible for such misuse. If you cannot access your user account, please contact [email protected] immediately.

In case of registration, the user remains logged in until he / she logs out, or restarts his / her system or application. We recommend that you unsubscribe from the app if you share the device with another person.

 

2.6 Business transfers

 

Bookstore A bookstore can transfer the collected information, including personal information, in case of sale of most or all of the company’s property. The user accepts the new owner of Reading Digital  to continue using personal data in a way that is determined by our privacy policy.

 

2.7 User rights

 

2.7.1. Right to information

 

The user has the right at any time to receive information about his personal data from the Knigoteka Bookstore, which were processed in accordance with Article 2. of the Privacy Policy.

 

2.7.2. Right to change

 

The user has the right to request a change in his personal data, if that data is incorrect.

 

2.7.3. Right to delete

 

The user has the right to request the deletion of personal data, in accordance with the terms of use.

 

2.7.4. The right to restrict the use of data

 

The user may request the use of his personal data to a certain extent, for example, if he refuses to receive marketing messages.

 

2.7.5 Right to transfer data

 

The user has the right to request personal data relating to it. Reading Digital is obliged to respond to the received request within 30 days. We can submit the data directly to the user or to another processor, if the user requests it.

Sending data is free, but in case Reading Digital receives a lot of requests in a short time and suspects the action of a group of users with bad intentions to slow down the company’s activities, the Bookstore has the right to pay a fee that covers the actual search costs. , sorting and printing data, if required to be delivered on paper or in external media.

 

2.7.6 Right to object

 

The user has the right at any time to file an objection to the processing of his personal data. In that case you can ask us to stop using part or all of your personal data (in case of non-existence of legal right to use them) or to limit their use (if the data is incorrect). The right to object is a special form of the right to cancel

2.7.7. Deletion of the user order by the user

 

If, at any time, the user wishes to terminate his order and stop processing his personal data, it is necessary to send an e-mail to [email protected]. Personal data will be deleted from the database of active users if all payment obligations are met, if Reading Digital believes that it is not necessary to store that information due to a lawsuit or if there is no legal obligation to keep it.

Note that in this case all the books in your library will be automatically deleted without refund, and if you want to use the Bookstore Library app again, you will have to re-register.

2.8 Marketing – advertising and social networks

 

If the user agrees that he wants to receive personalized offers, his e-mail address will be used. Bookstore A bookstore uses existing data, such as receipt confirmation and confirmation to read newsletters, purchase history, date and time of visit to the application or products you have viewed. To send a newsletter and analyze user behavior, the Bookstore Library uses Google Analytics. In addition, the data for selected editions, number of editions and the current location of the user are analyzed. The use of this data is in order to improve our products and services, their adaptation to the needs of users, as well as communication with customers for the offer of Reading Digital .

With the registration itself, the user automatically accepts sending of marketing messages. If, at any time, the user wishes to unsubscribe from receiving e-mails, he needs to send a message to unsubscribe from his e-mail address, which is registered at the Knigoteka Bookstore.

2.8.1 Newsletter

 

Send your own server to send newsletter and Bookstore Bookstore. With the help of standard technologies, we collect data on the opening of e-mail and the number of clicks within the e-newsletter, in order to improve the content of the newsletter.

2.8.2. User service through social networks

 

If the user contacts Reading Digital through social networks, his data is processed and stored in the user management system, and the publicly announced message remains exposed to the profile of Reading Digital.

User data and their messages will be automatically deleted from Reading Digital profile after 3 months.

2.9. Analysis of application usage

 

For better insight into the needs of our customers, Reading Digital  uses a variety of software. This allows us to constantly improve the quality of our products.

Sessions are automatically deleted after 180 minutes of inactivity of the application, when it closes or when you use the unsubscribe option. The session allows user identification during application use.

 

2.9.1. Google Analytics

 

Our application uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on the user’s device and allow the analysis of the use of the application. The information about the use of the application that generates the cookies is sent to the Google servers in the United States and stored there. However, if the application is activated the IP anonymization option, Google will first shorten the IP address in the EU member states or in the countries that have concluded the EU Agreement. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to Google’s servers in the United States, where it will be shortened. On behalf of the Bookstore, Google Library will use this information to analyze the use of the application, to prepare reports on the activities and to provide additional services related to the use of the application and the Internet. In no case will Google link the user’s IP address to other Google data and activities. 2.9.1.1. Adwords

 

Our application uses Google Remarketing, which allows us to advertise on other platforms related to the behavior of our users. If you click on a certain page or product on www.knigoteka.mk Google will save your interests for our products and services in the application and may, from time to time, display ads “Adwords” that correspond to your interests. These announcements can refer to the offer of Knigoteka Bookstore, as well as third party offers. If a user agrees with Google to link to Internet searches and applications with a Google command and use information viewed online by Google’s user account, Google associates that information with data from Google Analytics to create an audience for remarketing on all devices used and on which there is a user Google command.

2.9.1.2 You tube

 

Our application uses software add-ons (plug-ins) from You Tube, which belong to the company Google Inc. In case of a visit to the page with the You Tube plug-in, there is a connection with the servers of You Tube, and they will recognize from which page of the application Bookstore Bookstore the visit has been made. If you are connected to You Tube, it allows you to link the search to the user’s personal profile. This option can be stopped if you unsubscribe from your order in advance. 2.10 Information about changes

Bookstore A bookstore can, from time to time, rework its privacy policy to keep it in line with its products and services. The update date serves to remind the user of the latest changes. If the change in the Privacy Policy of Reading Digital  has a direct impact on the way the personal data of the user is shared, it will be informed by information on the site or by sending an e-mail message that allows him to refuse that change. In this case, the user is obliged to inform Reading Digital  by sending an e-mail to [email protected], which will inform that he does not accept the changes in the privacy policy, which leads to automatic cancellation of the user order.

2.11 Amendments, date of entry into force

 

This privacy policy applies to the use of our application, site and services by users from the date of entry into force.

Bookstore A bookstore can partially or completely change this privacy policy, at any time and without direct notification, by always publishing information about the material changes made to the application itself. We advise you to look at the privacy policy from time to time to be informed of the application’s procedures. If you object to any changes, stop using our application immediately and close your order, ie. contact us without delay.

If after the publication of the changes in the privacy policy the user continues to use the application and our services, we will consider that the collection, use or sharing of personal data is accepted by him.
